Need a room, a field, or a hall?

Columbia Exposition Center — the big one. Room for a banquet, a reunion, a trade show, an archery meet or a wrestling card, and it is the building the city uses for municipal elections. If you need square footage, this is the space.

City Park — the pavilion, open ground and ball fields. The usual home for birthday parties, family reunions, church picnics and youth tournaments.

Duckworth Park Building — a rentable indoor space inside the gates of Duckworth Park. Rental fees apply to this building.

Duckworth Park Pavilion — a separate pavilion in Duckworth Park, run the same way as the City Park pavilion: first come, first served, no reservation and no rental fee.

Another city facility — if you are not sure which space fits, say so on the form and describe the event. Somebody who knows the buildings will point you at the right one, which is faster than guessing from a list.

How this works. A request is not a booking. Send it, and the city checks the date against everything else on the calendar and comes back to you either way. Nothing is held until you hear back.

The two pavilions are free and unreserved. City Park's pavilion and Duckworth Park's pavilion are both first come, first served with no fee — but an approved, permitted event becomes the "first come" for its date and time, which is exactly what this form settles. The Duckworth Park Building is different: it is rented, and fees apply.

Send it early. Popular dates go first, and anything involving street closures, alcohol, amplified sound late into the evening, or a multi-day setup may need more than a yes — see event permits.
