Come hungry. Stay the night.

Thirty-six kitchens, three inns, eight rentals and a campground, in one list. The city doesn't rank anybody and doesn't take bookings — this is just what's here.

How to read this list

Listed, not ranked.

Every business in Columbia that we could confirm is on this page, in the same format, with a link so you can read reviews and check hours yourself. The city does not rate, rank or recommend any of them — a listing here is not an endorsement, and the order is not a verdict.

Hours change constantly in a town this size. Call before you drive. If your business is missing or a detail is wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.

Compiled from public listings in July 2026. Ratings and hours drift — the links go to the live page for each business.

Looking for somewhere to hold a party? Two event venues opened on Main Street within months of each other — both are listed here.

Not at a fixed address

Maggie's Food Truck.

Some of the best food in Columbia does not have a front door.

Maggie's Food Truck runs as a pop-up — currently every other Friday — which means the only reliable way to catch it is to check where it is parked before you go.

Check the schedule at maggiesfoodtruck.com →

That is the whole trick with a pop-up: the schedule is the address. Turning up at last month's spot is how people miss it.

Running a food truck or a pop-up in Columbia? Send us your schedule link and we will list it here the same way — a link that stays current beats a location that goes stale.

Newer, and worth knowing

Three more, and what used to be there.

Columbia's restaurants turn over in the same buildings, so locals still give directions by what used to be there. Here are three worth having, with both.

Mardi Grub — Southern Cajun take-out, 332 Second Street, downtown. A block from City Hall.

K's Catering & Meal Prep427 Eagle Day Avenue · (601) 395-8233. Catering and prepared meals, in the spot locals still call the old Southern Yankee. (And Eagle Day Avenue is named for a Mississippi Sports Hall of Famer born here.)

Cheyenne's Country Kitchen616 Honey Alley, right beside the theatre, in the old Jack's building.

Three restaurants, three previous tenants people still name. That is not decline — it is a downtown where the buildings keep getting re-used. Know of another we have missed? Tell us.

This list is only as good as what people tell us. If you run a restaurant, an inn or a rental in Columbia and you're not here — or you're here and something's wrong — send it over and we'll update the page.
